Millicent Herrmann Obituary
Wallingford, PA - Age 91, passed away quietly at home on Monday, June 21, 2021.
Mitzi was born in Wilmington, DE on July 17, 1929. She graduated from P. S. DuPont High School and attended Syracuse University for two years then graduating from the University of Delaware. Mitzi married Dr. Herman Rosenblum in 1950. As a young bride, Mitzi taught kindergarten in both Nashville, TN and Wilmington, DE. Dr. Rosenblum died in 1982, and Mitzi later married Chief Justice Daniel Herrmann in 1985 until his death in 1991.
Mitzi loved Wilmington. Even after she moved to Boca Raton, FL she always considered Wilmington her home. She was known for her impeccable style and her sense of humor. Mitzi was involved in community theater, participating in productions at Candlelight Dinner Theater, Longwood Gardens, Delaware Children's Theater, and the Barnstormers in Ridley Park, PA.
In her final years, Mitzi accomplished three of her life goals - attending the weddings of both of her grandchildren and voting for Joe Biden for President.
Mitzi is survived by her daughter, Ellen Rubesin (Stephen); her grandchildren, Hillary Rubesin (Eric Shapiro) and Jeff Rubesin (Lauren Saul).
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Beth Emeth Memorial Park, 1220 Faulkland Road, Wilmington, DE 19805. Shiva will be observed virtually at 7:00 pm, Sunday, June 27, 2021. Please contact Schoenberg Memorial Chapel (302) 762-0334 for Zoom information for the funeral and shiva. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mitzi's memory to the Jewish Federation of Delaware, 101 Garden of Eden Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 (www.shalomdelaware.org).

She was my sister! We were together all the time and had so much fun. Mitz would cause trouble, but I was always her cover. I cant repeat the funniest story involving Mitzi, a date night, and Irene but at some point I´ll tell Ellen. Ellen, I miss your mom so much. Sending love to you and yours.

Dear Ellen and Family:
I am so, so sorry for your loss as my family and your family practically grew up together and our mother's and your grandmother were very close.
Everytime, Mitizi would walk into a room she would light it up and be the center of attention and want to make sure everyone was having a good time.
I know that my Mom and your Mom and grandmother were close and that was very special to my mother!!
Once again, i am so sorry for your loss but now your Mom is reunited with her loved ones and family.

Mitzi loved Wilmington and Wilmington loved her back. She was a great hostess and a good friend. She had a great sense of humour and entertained us with her original ditties. We were fortunate to share many happy times.

Our sincerest condolences to you and your family. Mitzi was always a favorite name in our family ( we had two) and your mom was an extra special Mitzi who outlived ours and gave us much joy as we read about her hairdos, and dining escapades.
