Nancy E. Thompson
Lower Paxton Twp. - Nancy E. Thompson, 87, of Lower Paxton Township: At 3:20 PM on July 16, 2021 "With a bolt of lightning and clap of thunder, a chariot of fire broke through the heavens to retrieve Nancy Eden Thompson, aka Mom Mom Nancy". She has officially been promoted and is now worshipping Jesus face to face and is currently catching up with loved ones who preceded her. We will all miss her here on earth and cannot express how honored we are to have been graced in life by this wonderful servant of God.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Gladys Smith, her sister Joan Vigneulle, and her daughter Sandra Eden Mergenthaler. She is survived by her three daughters, Judy Sulecki (Ted) from Wilmington DE, Cindie Conners, Newark DE, and Gwen Thornton, (Philip) Harrisburg, PA and her brother-in-law, William "Bill" Vigneulle from Wilmington, DE. She has been blessed with 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Nancy attended Conrad High School where she was a cheerleader, editor of the school paper and excelled in fashion design and sewing. She later became an interior designer, was an avid reader and enjoyed time with friends and family.
Mom Mom Nancy, as she was affectionately called, was an author, teacher and friend to many. She brought comfort and care as an assistant chaplain at UPMC in Harrisburg. She was a faithful member and leader at Legacy Faith Church in Harrisburg, PA. Known for her love of others, Nancy was beautiful inside and out.
She received Jesus as her Lord and savior as a young lady and never lost her faith. Her legacy today lives on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; many of who have also dedicated their lives to walk with the Lord.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home Inc., located at 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's honor can be made to Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
