Patricia Cullen Obituary
Wilmington - Patricia Rappa Cullen, age 69, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on August 11, 2021. Born in Wilmington, DE she was the daughter of the late Gertrude (Russell) and Daniel Rappa, Sr. She graduated from Thomas McKean High School. Having a strong work ethic and ambition, she went on to work in the New Castle County's Sheriff's Office as Chief Administrative Deputy for over 35 years, while also running her own title search company at night. After her retirement, she went on to get her real estate license and worked part time at Berkshire Hathaway in Hockessin, DE. Aside from work, Patricia was a wonderful and loving mother and a beloved friend. She had a radiant, beautiful smile that would light up a room. She loved to garden, go to the movies, and enjoyed her trips to visit Colorado. She adored her dog, Bruno, and loved taking him for a walk and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her nephew, Vincent Rappa. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Emily Cullen of Wilmington, DE; her step-mother, Joan Rappa; her siblings, Daniel Rappa, Jr., Trudy Marvel, Dominick Rappa, Albert Rappa, Joseph Rappa, Elizabeth Rappa, and John Rappa; and her longtime former partner, Peter Cullen.
A visitation will be held for Patricia on Tuesday August 17, 2021 from 10 AM to 11 AM with funeral services beginning at 11 AM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be made at mealeyfuneralhomes.com

Trish was loved by and supportive to many people. She was easy to talk to and always remembered persons she interacted with in positive ways. She made a damn good pound cake and always minded the young ones around the pond. She worked hard and expected the same of others. Trish left an imprint on many people's lives. I was saddened to read about a co-worker who was so young & vibrant passing away. It was always a pleasure going into the office when she was at the front desk and seeing her smiling face! She ALWAYS had a pleasant greeting, no matter how busy she was! RIP in peace, Trish! I will miss you! Elaine

Trish was always a fan favorite at BHHS Fox & Roach Realtors. Always quick to help someone in need (especially Bruno), always had a compliment for everyone. Just a true blue wonderful woman! She will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of our Dear Trisha. We truly miss her and pray for the strength for the family.
