PAUL LATOURNEY Obituary
Latourney
SSGT Latourney was killed in action during operations in Baghdad Iraq on March 2, 2007.
A Combat Scout, he was assigned to the 1st Calvary Division out of Ft. Hood, TX. This was his second tour of duty in Iraq having preciously served in Tikrit with the 1st Infantry Division. SSGT Latourney was the son of Paul D. (formerly of Richardson Park) and Maria Teresa Latourney of Ajijie Jalisco, Mexico. Born in Atlanta, GA, June 11, 1978. SSGT Latourney lived in Germany from 1981 to 1994. Educated in German schools until he returned to Roselle, IL. He Graduated from Lake Park HS in 1997. Completing basic training between his junior and senior year he elected to convert to active duty, giving up a scholarship and acceptance to the University of IL.
SSGT Latourney is survived by his parents; custodial son Isaiha; sister Anna Bruenderman; and paternal grandmother Anna Latourney; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in the US, Mexico, and Germany. He will be remembered as a proud and brave soldier, wonderful son, terrific father and noble human being.
A Mass followed by interment with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery at 2:45 pm on March 14, 2007.
