Peter Cipolla Obituary
AGE: 88 • Wilmington
Peter Cipolla, Sr. unexpectedly passed away on September 5th, 2017.
Peter was born in Chadds Ford, PA to the late Anne DeCecco Cipolla and John Cipolla. Peter joined the military, where he served in the Korean War as military police. After returning home he devoted 30+ years to Wyeth as a foreman.
Peter was an active member of the community. He belonged to The Knights of Columbus and the VFW Post 18 Claymont. Peter was Philadelphia sports fan and always enjoyed watching the games.
Peter is preceded in death by his 1st wife Josephine DiStefano Cipolla; two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife Latitia Cerasoli Cipolla; children Peter Cipolla, Jr. (Denise), Richard Cipolla (Lisa), Frank Cerasoli (Charlotte), and Marco Cerasoli; grandchildren Josh, Michael, Allison, Daniel, Gabriella, Olivia, Bella, Sophia, and Roman; great-grandchild Michael; one brother; and two sisters.
Peter's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Patrick Eckert, Dr. Eric Marshall, and Dr. Timothy Hennessey and Peter's Care Staff at Wilmington Hospital for the exceptional care given to Peter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September the 11th, 11:30am, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont St. Wilmington DE, 19805. The viewing will start at 10am. Entombment at Cathedral Cemetery will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Peter's memory by making a contribution to St. Anthony of Padua Church or the VFW Post 18 of Claymont.

We are so blessed to have Peter in our family for 31 years as a husband,father and grandfather. Peter brings so much love into our family. He is such a vibrant person. Peter is so important in our daily lives. It will be tough for all of us to go on without him. He is in a better place,we will miss him and will always love him with all of our hearts.
We know you are still with us, watching and praying for all of your family and waiting for all of us the be together again !!!
