R. DONOHOE Obituary

R. Colleen Donohoe Age 64 of Millville, DE, formerly of Kennett Square, PA, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004 at her home. She was the wife of James L. Donohoe, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of Leo Francis Welsh and Ruth Miller Welsh. Colleen was secretary of the education department at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA for 25 years, retiring in February 2003. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Kennett Square, PA. Colleen loved her family, friends, gardening, shopping and decorating. In addition to her parents, Colleen was predeceased by her brother, Leo F. Welsh; and sister, Maureen Welsh. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Stephen Donohoe of Kennett Square, PA, Robert Donohoe of Newtown, PA; and 3 daughters, Gail Phelan of Bethany Beach, Nancy Blakely of Denton, MD and Leslie D'Annibale of Wernersville, PA. She is also survived by 1 brother, Kenneth Welsh of CA; 2 sisters, Terry Nemeth of Sarasota, FL, Mickey Gideon of Sacramento, CA; and 10 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend Colleen's life celebration from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, and also from 8:30-9:30 am on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at the KUZO & GOFUS FUNERAL HOME, "A Life Celebration Home", State and Meredith Sts., Kennett Square, PA. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at St. Patrick Church, Cypress & Meredith Sts., Kennett Square, PA. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1615 West Chester Pike, Suite 102, West Chester, PA 19382.
