Of Chadds Ford, PA, age 85, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Park Lane Nursing Home in West Chester, PA.
Born in West Grove, PA, he was the son of the late Norman and Bertha (Volk) Pennington. He was the husband of Margaret (Grady) Pennington, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Ralph retired after 40 years as a Precision Machinist Technician with E. I. DuPont Nemours Co. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Ethel Crossan of Chesterville, PA; 2 sons, John Pennington of Wilmington, DE and Ralph E. Pennington of Lake Worth, FL; 2 daughters, Susan McCue of Avondale, PA and Faye Smith of Spring City, PA; and 7 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 am, on Tuesday, August 21, in St. Patrick Cemetery, Ashland, DE .
