I've met thousands of people during my lifetime, both in the USA, and abroad. But, there is only one Ray Bender. What a man!!! Ray suffered in silence, while bringing joy, and laughter to everyone around him. I am one, of many, of his hospice buddies, and will miss him, dearly. Ray's response to God's calling, "Send me in Coach". Heaven, I know, is laughing up a storm, and will be for a long, long time. God Bless, and keep you close to His Heart. I miss, and love you always.

Uncle Ray, What could I say,I could write a book on you,all I no is that you were a Great Inspiration to me , your Unselfish Love for Family and Friends, your Positive Outlook on Life even when Times seemed so Bleak for us all, you alway's had a smile and a joke to comfort us, that's a Blessing from God, and I will alway's remember you for your kindness in my time of need, I will miss our e-mail conversations and the thing's we talked about in life, like our love one's that had went before us, and all the good times too, and now I must say goodbye to you too. you once told me that when thing's like this happen and we lose a loved one, that we must do everything in our power to keep going on with our life as much as it hurts, and that was Great Advise you Bestowed on me, now my Mentor is gone, but I will try & remember the thing's you Tought me and Inspired me with, Uncle Ray you were a Great man and a Standup guy in my book's Rest in Peace my Friend you will alway's be in my thoughts and pray's . What could I say about Ray? I think his smile says it all. He was a wonderful man. I am very blessed to have had him in my life, even though it was a short time. He smiled always, shared always, and loved much. I enjoyed our time together where he told family stories and life experiences. He would tell of the kind acts his family and neighbors did for him and say "I don't understand why they do so much for me". I told him if he were in our shoes he would understand. If you were lucky enough to know Ray, you were blessed. He loved to dance. We named his dance "The Bender",what joy he brought us!!! And he will be missed! He will live in my heart and I will think of him whenever I dance, hear music or see a smile! We are all blessed by the beautiful family he has left with us.I'm sure he is smiling at his wife and dancing for the Lord. Blessed with great memories. Shalom my beautiful friend,I love you.

You were a friend to so many people and you will be greatly missed. You were so much fun to be around. Your infectious smile and your "Bender dance" at the Elks and just getting together with your friends. We will all miss you but you are no longer in pain and you are with your wife, whom I know you missed very much. It will not be the same without you but I know you will probably be entertaining everyone in Heaven with your jokes. With love, Betty Kilpatrick

Ray....I first met you at the hospice luncheons, but you became a close friend of mine very quickly. I loved your smile, your funny jokes, and visits to your home, and cook outs. You loved going out with a bunch of us to the Elks, and you sure could dance.....I will miss you more than you know, you were a wonderful man, and a good friend. I know how much you missed your wife, and now you will join her in Heaven. Thank you for being my friend, I will never forget the joy and friendship of just being a part of your life. The world will not be the same without you Ray, but you will have no more suffering and pain. GOD bless you my friend, and may you rest in peace!
Love you,
Pat Manley
