Robert Mudrock Obituary
AGE: 66 • Grandview Heights, OH
Robert J. Mudrock, 66, of Grandview Heights, Columbus, OH, passed away at home on Thursday, August 18, 2016.
Bob was born in Philadelphia, PA, moving to Delaware with his family in 1960. He attended John Dickinson High School and the University of Delaware, majoring in chemistry. He received his Master's Degree from Drexel University.
He worked for the Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Office of Information and Technology as a computer programmer, retiring recently after a long and successful career.
In his early years, Bob was actively involved in Boy Scouts. He faithfully delivered the newspaper to his Meadowood neighbors for many years. He always had a keen interest in politics, local and world news. He enjoyed traveling to military museums and battlefields.
Bob was preceded in death by his father John (Jack) Mudrock.
Surviving family members include his mother, Dolores (Dee) (Gasper) Mudrock; his brothers, David and Michael Mudrock; sister, Donna (Mudrock) Colonna; brother in law, Robert Colonna; and nephews David Jr. (wife Petra) and Jackson Colonna.
Bob enjoyed many family gatherings with his immediate family members, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and two nephews, especially around the Christmas holidays.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, October 1st, 2016, at Resurrection Parish, 3000 Videre Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 9:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bob's memory to the
American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693; or to BrightFocus Foundation (for Macular Degeneration), 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.

I am so sorry to hear about Bob. I sat catty-cornered from him for a time and he would always come over when he first came in to ask 'What's new?'. I would ask him on occaision to go to lunch with me, but he always opted to stay back at the office to eat his Dinty Moore! Bob, you will be missed.

Bob Mudrock was a friend of my parents and I knew him ever since I was a baby. I will always remember the times that we spent with Bob. The Mudrock family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I first met Bob when he worked at Chemical Abstracts Service during the early 1980s. We then became good friends. We regard Bob as part of our family and we will miss him dearly. The Mudrock Family is in our thoughts and prayers.
