RUBY BOCK Obituary
Mrs. Ruby I. Bock, age 89, of Bethalto, IL, formerly of Newark, DE, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Bethalto Care Center in Bethalto, IL.
Born in Bertrand, MO on April 12, 1919, Mrs. Bock was a daughter of the late James O. Belver and Eunice G. Owens Belver. She was employed for many years with the Avon Corporation in Newark, retiring from the accounting department in 1978. Mrs. Bock was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church and its Homemakers Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Robert Bock, who died in 1984 and her sister, Ruth A. Belver Mennemeyer. She is survived by a niece, Belva Walls and her husband, Mike of Bethalto, IL; granddaughter, Dianne Mennemeyer of Strongsville, OH; nephews, Bernard Mennemeyer and his wife, Cheri of Springfield, IL, James Mennemeyer and his wife, Deb of Maryland Heights, MO, John Mennemeyer of Jefferson City, MO; and several great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, April 21, 2008, in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where friends may call after 1 pm. Entombment will follow in the adjoining mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 469 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19702.
