Age 25, of Wilmington, DE died at home on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007.
Ryan was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Wilmington. He was a 2001 graduate of A.I. duPont High School. Ryan was an avid soccer player and played for his school team and for the Kirkwood Soccer Club. He was currently enrolled at Schilling Douglas School of Cosmetology in Newark, DE, where he put to use his creativity and artistic talents. Ryan had a zest for life and loved to be surrounded by people. His personality was contagious and he made friends everywhere he went. Ryan loved the beach and spent six months last year in Boca Raton, FL.
Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Joseph and Lorraine. He is also survived by his brother, Scott; and sisters, Jacque Wilson and her husband, Steve, and Heather Sobolewski and her husband, Jeff. Other survivors include maternal grandmother, Dorothy Przybylek; nephew Jeremy; nieces Sydney and Ryley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ryan is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, James and Josephine Hagerty; and his maternal grandfather, Francis Przybylek.
Please Join us in celebrating Ryans life, visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, between 6-9 pm at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Rd., Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Church, Cedar and Clayton Streets, Wilmington. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either the Ronald McDonald House, 1901 Rockland Rd., Wilmington, DE 19805.
