At 58, Susan passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 in her Wilmington, DE home surrounded by family.
She was born January 31, 1952 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Edgar and Rita Burke. She moved to Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Penn State. Then later moved to her home in Wilmington, DE. She enjoyed golfing, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Susan often volunteered her services, time and love; her favorite charity was Saint Jude's Hospital. Susan will always be remembered as a loving mother, mother-in-law, companion, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she touched.
Susan is survived by her son, Adam Rauch and daughter-in-law, Stacy Rauch. Her long time companion, Tom O'Connell and his son, Brian O'Connell. Her brothers, Terence Burke and his wife, Phyllis, Ned Burke and his wife, Carrilee, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808 at 6pm followed by a service in celebration of Susan's life.
