5yrs since Sylvia's passing and the sadness is still intense. She had such a positive outlook and opinion of just about everyone and seemed to focus in the best of everyone. That's what she chose to see. I always admired her for that. I pray I reach that plato one day in my lifetime. Most people never get to that place. What's amazing to me is her understanding and kindness was just a natural part of Sylvia. I loved Sylvia as a very good friend and classmate though we didn't stay in touch after high school. But everytime I ran into her it was a celebration w/a friend with lots of laughter. I miss knowing she is no longer physically here but take solice that she will always remain in our hearts. God Speed!!!

So very, very hurt to just learn of Sylvias passing today, 9/2/2017, while looking through obits for another friend. Death is inevitable but still very hurtful and shocking at times. I graduated w/Sylvia and enjoyed many great times through our high school days. She was always a genuinely good and beautiful person both on the outside and definitely on the inside. She never expected anymore of you than she did of herself. Always left a lasting impression because of her glow and loving spirit. And always was most respected by young men and young women alike all through high school. My prayers and heartfelt condolences to the family. She has proved herself as an angel here on earth. No question in my mind she's earned her wings in heaven. I will definitely miss Sylvia...

John and Family,
Please know that my thoughts and prayer are with you. I am unable to be with you just know that, "I don't know how you feel, but know how it feels when God calls a loved one." AS days go by, God will be with you as you go through this time of sorrow. God bless you, and know that you are not alone.
Love you

My thoughts and prayers go to the Holden Family. You have been wonderful next door neighbors the last twelve years and I have always been amazed and inspired by your dedication to your colleagues and extended family at your church and the Salvation Army Senior Center. Sylvia will be dearly missed by many people. I have been fortunate to call Sylvia a friend, neighbor, colleague and partner through the years. If there will ever be a person to realign errant angels and sweep heaven into shape we know it will be Sylvia Holden.

The Earth just lost a wonderful angel as she went to her heavenly home. Sylvia was one of the most compassionate people I have ever known.
Prayers being offered to all as we hold this woman to the light.
