Thomas Bradford Bishop

Better known as Tim, died June 2, 2011, from Acute myeloid leukemia at the Jennersville Regional Hospital.

Tim was born in Wilmington, DE on October 5, 1946. In 1949 he moved with his family to Landenberg, PA to Lane's End, a property his maternal grandfather bought in the 1930s. Those were happy years for Tim and later in life he worked diligently to learn the history of the property and the community of Landenberg.

He attended Kennett Elementary School, The Tatnall School, Kennett Consolidated High School and graduated from The Vanguard School in Philadelphia. He went on to graduate from Williamsport Community College where Tim honed his mastery in photographic imagery and development.

Although challenged by physical handicaps at birth, Tim strove determinedly to overcome these obstacles. Tim worked as a teacher's aid in the photography department in the Williamsport, PA school district for nearly 30 years, retiring in 2004. He moved in with his mother at Jenner's Pond and cared for her as she struggled with and ultimately succumbed to ovarian cancer in 2007.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert B. Bishop and mother, Ruth B. Bishop. He is survived by his brother, John B "By" (wife Patricia) in Savannah, GA; his sister Carey Zimmerman in Upton, MA; his sister, Amy (husband Charlie Dewey) in Ramsey, NJ and nieces, Emma in Upton and Caitlin in Ramsey.

A private memorial service will be held later this summer.
