Tomasita "Tommie" Martinez Aguilera FORT WORTH--Tomasita "Tommie" Martinez Aguilera went to be with our Lord on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, surrounded by her family. FUNERAL MASS: 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Rosary: 5 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Chapel. Tommie was born in Bridgeport on Oct. 2, 1925, and was raised by her grandmother, Cresensia Martinez. She worked at Montgomery Ward for 30 years. Tommie was a loving wife, mother and perfect grandmother and great-grandmother. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Klaris Home Health, Asana Hospice and Dr. Morvarid Rezaie. Tommie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joe C. Aguilera Jr. SURVIVORS: Children, Cindy Maldonado and husband, Joe, Jesse Aguilera and wife, Terre, Sally Jekel and husband, Chris, Gracie Escovedo and husband, Richard, and Ron Aguilera and wife, Pam; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Antonia Guajardo; brother-in-law, Santos Aguilera; she was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful companion, Princess.
