I'm saddened to hear of Vince's passing. I have many fond memories of Vince, and would like to share some of those memories with you.
I remember those wonderful days at SFH, and the very special camaraderie of the management team. What a group! Each one adding their unique talents in pursuit of excellence in caring for patients--serious at times, but always ready to have fun.
The annual management team Christmas celebration at the DuPont Hotel was the highlight of the passing year, and a very special occasion. It also gave the spouses a chance to see the management team in action. We enjoyed good food and drinks, but more importantly, each other. Unfortunately those days ended as each member of the team went different ways.
I'll never forget Vince's first day at SFH as he met with each member of the management team. He came into my office bright and eager to start his new job and we chatted about the hospital goals and the little things in life that shape who we are. It was obvious that this personable young man was going places. And he did!
I will always cherish these memories of Vince.

My deep condolences to Sandy, Catherine, Pat, Florence & Sr. Mary Vincent. I hold all of you in my heart and prayers. Joe, you are very much on my mind...As one of my first graders the year my father died, you brought me great comfort. And now 30 years later, as you grapple with the loss of your dear father, please know I am praying for you.

Vince's genuine kindness touched so many lives. May all find strength in St. Francis de Sales encouraging maxim:
We can steer safely through every storm, as long as our heart is right and just and we keep our trust fixed on God.
