William Ashman

1928 - 2018

WILLIAM S. ASHMAN, AGE 89, BELOVED HUSBAND OF LOIS (BAIR) ASHMAN DIED ON FRIDAY MARCH 2, 2018. They celebrated their 65th anniversary last April. Bill was born in Johnstown, PA on April 13, 1928 and was the son of the late William G. and Mary (Snook) Ashman. He was a retired officer in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Penn State in 1950 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. During his career, he developed computer systems for the military and for the space program with Burroughs, General Electric, and Uniys. He served as a scoutmaster with Boy Scouts. He was a loving father to his children, Carol (Jeffrey) Owens of Exton, PA., Robert T. (Susan) Ashman of Laurel, MD and R. Scott (Jean) Ashman of Philadelphia. He was the beloved by his 7 grandchildren and two great grandsons. FRIENDS MAY CALL SATURDAY MARCH 10TH FROM 9:00-10:00 AM AT THE FRANK C. VIDEON FUNERAL HOME 2001 SPROUL ROAD BROOMALL.
