Claire (Carey) Keating (Mullin) Obituary

Claire (Carey) C. Keating (Mullin), age 73, of Springfield, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, lost her courageous struggle with lung disease on September 15, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving husband William of 52 years, her beloved children, Christine Methlie (Robert), William Keating (Christine), Marybeth Mullarkey (John), and her loving grandchildren Nicole, Robert, Matthew, Bridget, Kristen, Elizabeth, Sean, Jack, and Meghan. Preceded in death by parents Daniel and Claire Mullin and brother Daniel Mullin. Loving sister to Michael Mullin (Carol), Rosemary Stuart (Jeffrey), Maryellen Lynch (Michael Joseph).
Born and raised in Philadelphia, she moved to Drexel Hill (St. Andrews Parish) and graduated from Archbishop Prendergast in 1962. Claire raised her children as she worked as an administrative assistant for IVB bank and retired from Wells Fargo.
Claire had many loves in her life, first and foremost her family, her grandchildren, and her church. Her strong faith carried her though good and bad times. Claire was an avid reader, loved Ocean City, N.J., and Sea Isle, N.J., and spent many years with her family there.
Relative and friends may visit Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA, viewing 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, Mass at 11:00. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in name of Claire C Keating to the Crozer-Keystone Reginal Cancer Center at Broomall or the Holy Cross Food Pantry, Springfield, PA.
