David "Dave" McLaughlin

1944 - 2017

David “Dave” McLaughlin, 73, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on December 16, 2017 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Dave is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peg” McLaughlin, his daughter, Carolyn McLaughlin Cuppernull (Gary), his granddaughters, Courtney and Caylee, his siblings, Sandra Stewart (James) and Kevin McCoy, and his several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, John McLaughlin (Gertrude), his mother Marion McCoy (George), and his sister, Judy West. Dave was born on November 23, 1944 in Chester, PA. He graduated as class president from Chester High School in 1962. He earned degrees from Penn Morton College (B.S. Electrical Engineering) and Widener University (M.A. in Business Administration). He was married to Peg for 53 years. Dave worked for Astra Zeneca for 36 years before retiring in 2008. He enjoyed golfing and bowling with friends, taking courses through Life Long Learning, traveling throughout the U.S., reading, and cheering on his granddaughters in all their endeavors. A viewing is scheduled for December 21, 2017 from 6-8pm at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. The funeral is scheduled for December 22, 2017 at 11 am at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Rd, Glen Mills, PA.
