To the Hadley family, I wanted to express our sincerest condolences for your loss. What can I say about your father, he was a truly great man who acted as a source of inspiration to those fortunate to know him. I remember his selfless friendship to our family and my father; especially help with home projects that weren’t going well. George was a person always willing to help a friend in need no matter what the circumstances. He had many talents, but my mother would always mention what a great dancer he was when they would go to events at the Delhi Grotto. George was a man among men and will be sorely missed.

Rich & Wendy,
I think I speak for all the guys at Cardington School ground in Upper Darby who were involved with the 69th St. Athletic Association in the 50's & early to mid 60's who were so very fortunate to have men like Mr. Hadley coach and guild us during our early years. My brother, Pete, had the honor of playing for Mr. Hadley; I, as an opposing team member, always looked up to, admired, and respected Mr Hadley's knowledge of baseball and leadership on the field. It was always a pleasure to see and talk with Mr. Hadley at our yearly Old-Timers' game on the very field where he influenced so many young boys in not only the basics of baseball, but more importantly, how to be good citizens and respect each other. I will miss him dearly. Wendy, thanks so much for keeping me posted on your dad these past few years; he always would tenderly scold me if I failed to stop by your office in Wilmington and say hello to you. God bless your family; Mr. Hadley will be in all the Calabreses' family prayers.

My Mom was George's upstairs neighbor. He always had a smile and kind words for us. I once mentioned to him that my Dad was a Navy man & George shared his writings from his Navy days with me. A kind-hearted wonderful man who will be missed.

I was a co-worker with George for many years and am honored to have called him a friend. He was a quality person and a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by all who shared his life...
