Harry Burroughs Obituary

Harry (Harold, Bud) Davis Burroughs, III, of Media PA, died peacefully at his home, November 13, 2023, surrounded by family, after bravely battling pancreatic cancer. He was 65 years old. Harry was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, friend, and a phenomenal businessman. Owning and operating Phoenix Security Systems Inc. in Media, for over 30 years, Phoenix was Harry's life's work. In more recent years he proudly ran the business alongside his business partner and son, Eric Burroughs, who was his life's pride and joy. In addition to business, he loved animals, specifically his dogs (Roxy, Jesse and Rosie) and was an active contributor to various organizations for animals and under privilege individuals. Harry was an avid car collector, he also loved; classical music, real estate, gadgets, vanilla ice cream, summers at the Delaware beach, cheese, traveling, a good coaster, a good deal, his HHR, mopeds, his devoted Phoenix Family, and especially being a grandfather (Pop Pop Harry). Everyone who knew Harry appreciated his directness and knew what a great heart he had. He leaves behind many friends and loved ones who deeply feel his absence. Harry is survived by Udi Wiyono, son Eric Burroughs, daughter-in-law Lana Burroughs, granddaughter Evelyn Burroughs and grandson Nikolai Burroughs. His brother George Burroughs (wife Patricia Burroughs and their children), as well as an abundance of friends and loved ones. We will miss Harry more than words can say, but we know he wants us to smile when we think of him…and that's "enuf," now, "Go To Work!" There will be a private celebration of life in July, on his birthday, to honor what an incredible man he was. In lieu of flowers, his family asks for donations to be made in his name at the Providence Animal Center; 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media PA.

I am so sorry. My wife, Renee, and I first met Bud as Spartan customers in the 1980s and we quickly became friends. Bud always put a smile on my face whether we were talking about real estate, business, food, family, dogs, or music. Renee and I wish you our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies for your loss. May his memory be a blessing to all.
