As related to me, from Joe Cellini...When we were 12 years old there were two Little Leagues that played at Melson Tract. Llanerch Hills and Drexel Hill. Every kid would dream of playing in the Little League Championship in Williamsport, PA. The year before us, Upper Darby made Williamsport with Jack Hamilton, Patty Benson, Joe Krause & other good players. For sure, I thought we were going. Our ace pitcher was Tony McGarry and along with Jimmy Burns ain't no stopping us now. We were Llanerch Hills and we opened the single elimination game against Drexel Hill. Starting pitcher for Drexel Hill was Johnny List. Johnny pitched a gem and we lost 4-1. Bobby Bellenghi hit 2 home runs for Drexel Hill that day. List & Bellenghi ruined my youth. Seriously, Johnny was their star and a good friend. Joey C

I remember him well in our grade school and High school years. He was truly one of the good guys.We had a number of great times together. I'm not sure of all his legacy's but one of his great one's for me was a recipe that I indulged in over the years---Saltine crackers spread with peanut butter and sprinkled with sugar. WOW- it was one of my great pleasures. I just wish I would have stayed in touch with him as we aged. He is in my thoughts and prayers--Hope to see him in the afterlife.
My Condolences to his entire family.

I am very saddened to hear of Johns passing. John was not only a great attorney, but also a greater friend. John stood by me and remained loyal when all others turned away. That quality speaks volumes to Johns character and his altruistic life. Rest is peace John and God bless you, and may your family find solace in the memories and your legacy.
