Joseph D. Doubet

Joseph D. Doubet, age 88, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on January 4, 2022. Born in Ridley Park, he was the son of the late Carl A. Doubet and Elizabeth Harper Doubet. He was married to the love of his life, Joyce Doubet for 63 wonderful years. Together they ran their business, Joseph D. Doubet Jewelers, for 25 years on State Street in Media. From the Media Business Association, PA Veterans Museum, to the community itself, Joe enjoyed every aspect of being part of “Everybody’s Hometown.” Prior to opening their own store, Joe worked in the family business, Carl A. Doubet Jewelers. Joe was a graduate of St. James High School and a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as an aerial photographer. Joe was the epitome of kindness; loving and giving to all, and always a true gentleman. Nothing meant more to him than his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished his summers spent with his family on the shores of OCNJ. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Joyce (Wood) Doubet; sisters Margaret Mullen, Vera Finch, and twin Mary Ann Guilday; and brothers, Carl A. Doubet Jr., Eddie Doubet, Robert Doubet, James Doubet, and David Doubet. He is survived by his loving daughters, Cindy Cappelli and her husband, Hon. Richard Cappelli, Lisa Brewster, and Jennifer Doubet; grandchildren Kelly (Mike) Duffey, Andrew Cappelli, Amy (John) Cappelli Mikus; great granddaughters Ella and Emily Mikus; brother, Ernest Doubet; and many nieces and nephews.
