Joseph Thomas Haughey, Sr., “Joe” age 68, of Folsom, PA, passed away on November 29, 2017 at Bryn Mawr Hospital after a long battle with COPD. Joe was recently retired from the Ridley School District where he worked as a Job Coach for several years. He was also a retired banker with Wells Fargo Bank. Joe is survived by his wife, Bonnie, and four sons, Michael, Jack, Thomas and Joseph, Jr. He also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Schuhl and Michelle O’Leary and many cousins. My condolences to the Haughey family. I went to both St Philomena and Msgr Bonner with Joe and lived down the block from him for those years. Unfortunately we have not seen each other since we were 22. He may be the best musician the nuns at St Phil's ever produced. Joe was always one of the most popular kids in our class in grade school and I believe his best day in high school was when Joe and his group won the Bonner Talent Show. I am glad that he followed his passion in music. May you Rest In Peace, Joe.

Ah, the "Bon-Aires." Joe and I were in MBHS homeroom. I knew of him for 4 years -- never got to "know" him. So many bullies and bad guys in Bonner... Joe, however, was a good guy. I, too, have COPD (from sarcoidosis) and I always wonder about its genesis. Peace. Ray Hathaway

I fondly remember Joe for the years he spent directing a children's choir at St. Mark's UMC in Broomall. He was a talented and gentle man. I send my condolences to Bonnie and the boys.
