Joseph E. Sopolsky

Joseph E. Sopolsky “Joe” Of Norwood formerly of SW. Philadelphia, passed away on October 20, 2015 at the age of 70. Joseph was the son of the late John and Irene (nee Isajewicz) Sopolsky. Joe retired in 2002 from the U. S Postal Police Service. After he retired he worked part time for Divine Providence Village in Maintenance/Security. He was very blessed and could fix just about anything. Joe enjoyed fishing, camping and maintaining his lawn and garden. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Marlene Ellis “Bebe” and his beloved aunt Josie “Mom” and uncle Bernie “Buck” Mathews. Survivors; Loving wife of 40 years Diane (nee Amorose) Sopolsky. Brother of Thomas (and the late Teruyo) and his two nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Saturday from 8:30am to the start of his funeral mass at 10:00am at St. Gabriel Church, Mohawk Ave., Norwood. Burial SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
