Judith DiGiovanni Obituary

Judith A. DiGiovanni, (NEE WEIS), age 70, died peacefully surrounded by her family on April 19, 2013 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media.
Mrs. DiGiovanni was born, raised, and educated in Belleville, IL. She graduated from St. Louis U. in 1964 with a BS and began a career as an operating room nurse. After marriage to Robert, they relocated to Pennsylvania to raise their family of 6 children.
She was an avid golfer and enjoyed the Ladies Golf Team at the Springhaven Country Club. Judith was a horse lover, riding, competing and breeding dressage horses as owner and operator of Broozknoll Ltd. She competed at Dressage at Devon and attended the Gold Cup Grand Prix Jumping. She was proud that her horse Genevieve competed in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia for the US Virgin Islands Equestrian Team.
She was the owner of Broozknoll Jewelry and a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Glen Mills.
She was a loving wife, mother, and doting grandmother who enjoyed time with her family and friends.
Judith is predeceased by her parents William and Marie Sprague Weis and her sister Diane Weis.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Dr. Robert DiGiovanni, and her loving children: Tracey Coleman (Joseph), Peter, Mark (Trinity), Victoria Pizzo (Dominick), Michael and Katherine. Her siblings: Janet, William, Katherine, John, and James. Grandchildren: Brandon, Brian, Grace, Martina, Kelly, Christina, Sophia, Benjamin, and Braeden.
Visitation: Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Nolan - Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA.
Liturgy Service: Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judith DiGiovanni's name to Riddle Healthcare Foundation-ED Expansion Project. 1068 West Baltimore Pike, Media, PA 19063

Mr Digiovanni,
I am so sorry for your loss,
I only got to meet you wife breifly thru the purchase of "Genevieve " my wonderfull partner in sport and life ,I had send Judith pictures and a letter years ago ,but my life moves me around so much I never knew if she had recieved them, Im so happy to have been a participant in a great satisfaction for her,she surely was a a participant in some of the most amazing parts of my life,
Genevieve is 27 now and we brought her with us when we moved to Uruguay last year , she is amazing and we have had 8 foals out of her by Embyo transfer , each one and everyone have been amazing athelets , hopefully olympic caliber like thier dam ,
