Julia Kissa Obituary

Julia Ann Kissa age 96 of Holmes, Pa., passed away on July 1, 2011 at Vitas Hospice in Darby, Pa.
Julia was born in Chester, Pa. Mrs. Kissa has lived in Holmes section of Ridley Township for 60 years. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Pazdalski. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Kissa who passed away on July 23, 2001; sister of the late John, Walter, Benjamin, Louie, Joe, Leo, Pazdalski. Mrs Kissa was a longtime member of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church in Morton, Pa. Julia worked for American Viscose in Marcus Hook, Pa., during the war, later she worked for Litton Industries in Clifton Heights, Pa., where is worked on the components that were part of Apollo flight that helped the men get to the moon.
She was a devoted and caring mother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and also was very proud of her Polish heritage.
Julia will be remembered fondly for the love that she gave her family. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Survivors: Andy Kissa of Holmes, Pa., who cared for his mother for the last four years of her illness; one daughter Madeline Hopkins of Bradenton, Florida; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11a.m. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church, 940 Amosland Road, Morton, Pa.
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church.
Interment: Immaculate Heart Cemetery in Linwood, Pa. Contributions may be made in Julia's name to www.olphmorton.org.

Aunt Julia always was a beautiful soul. Her kind ways and gentle smile was beautiful. I am sorry we could not be there for her service. Much love from Pam Yunker, Melanie, Brian and all of us.
