Karen Woods Obituary
Born on August 20, 1963, in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was the daughter of Joseph L. Richenderfer and Geraldine (Kodan) Richenderfer.
Karen was a respected legal administrator, working for area law firms for more than 20 years. A wonderful mother devoted to her family, Karen was a social person who spent many happy times at Rehoboth Beach, watching sunsets with her husband and reading with her toes in the sand. Going to the movies with her sister and nieces was a favorite pastime, as well. She was very involved in all of her nieces and nephews' lives, and was always eager to hear of their many adventures.
Karen's two daughters, Nicole and Sherry, were the joy of her life. She never tired of encouraging them in their endeavors, and their many achievements were a source of great pride for her. Karen was a towering example of motherhood, and her love and guidance reached well beyond her daughters to include all of her extended family.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Woods; her daughters, Nicole M. Woods, and Sherry E. Woods; her sister, Linda Richenderfer; her brothers, Mark Richenderfer (Valerie), and David Richenderfer (Michelle); her brothers- and sisters-in-law; her godchildren, nieces, and nephews; and many lifelong friends. She will be greatly missed by her beloved grandpuppy, Paris.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017, from 7 – 9 p.m., at The Knoetgen-Donahue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave., Morton, PA, 19070.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. (calling hour from 10 – 11 a.m.) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 500 Woodlawn Ave., Collingdale, PA, 19023.
Contributions in Karen's name may be made to AristaCare at Meadow Springs, 845 Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA, 19462.

So sadden by the passing of Karen. We were neighbors in Collingdale for 28 years, until we moved. My husband was still in touch with them after we moved. She was a beautiful and loving woman ,wife friend and mother. Every time we saw her she was smiling. Our hearts are broken and she will be missed. I am so saddened to hear of Karen's passing. I have many fond memories of the good times when our daughters used to play together. Although I haven't seen Karen in quite a few years; I remember her friendly smile, her kind and loving ways with her children. I am praying for Tom and Nicole and Sherry...my deepest sympathy.

So sorry to hear about sweet Karen passing. She babysat for my daughter April when she was an infant. I remember Karen fondly, always a smile on her face. She grew up next door to my sister Janet on Highland Ave. So very sorry for your loss. She is with the angels now.
