Marathon snowball fights, football games on our front lawns, stick ball on the driveways, wanderings in the woods and neighborhoods looking for trouble ... my fondest memories of Mark reach back to a simpler, cherished era of childhood, with Mark in the middle of it all. It has been a joy to see, so many years later, that he went on to have a loving family. But I am heartbroken for them and mourning the loss of one of our pack from Monmouth Heights. My condolences to you, Eric, and Janice and your parents and all of Mark's loved ones.

My Sympathies go out to the entire Apollo family. Mark was my boss when his company opened in Booths Corner 3 years ago. He was an amazing person and such a pleasure to work with. He always had a smile on his face and was just an awesome person in general. He always spoke highly of his family and had my respect since day 1. Rest in Peace, Mark...we love and miss you!!!!!

I admired my brother Mark Apollo for his loving devotion to his family and his kind and gentle personality. Even though it has been several years since we have seen each other we spoke frequently on the phone. Primarily trash talking over his loving devotion to his Philadelphia teams. It is that loving devotion that I admired most when he would say how lucky he was to have such a wonderful wife, children and grandchildren. He was a hero of mine and someone who I will be thinking of for the rest of my life. I will always miss you. Rest in Peace my brother.

My sympathies goes to the family. He was a great guy to be around with. He had a good heart and was a very good friend to have. I first met him at Pat's Pizzeria and we became good friends easily. I've helped doing some work for him and he helped me with delivering when I wasn't able to work. He really cares about me when I needed hearing aids. When I got the news of his death it really hit me so hard and it was really hard to believe. So young too soon to be taken away. I will forever miss him and will always remember what a great friend he was to me & his family.

I learned of Mark's death from his brother's facebook posts. Though it's been almost 30 years since I've seen Mark, I fondly remember growing up on Steward Lane in Manalapan with all the kids on the block, Mark included. One specific memory I have is Mark's devotion to the Philadelphia 76ers. In the 1982-1983 season, Mark was convinced that they were going to win the NBA championship. I bet him $20.00 that they wouldn't (which was a lot of money for high school kids back then). Of course, they did win that year, and Mark was really a good sport when I handed him a lunch bag with $20.00 worth of pennies in it.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family, but especially to those family members that I knew, Mr. & Mrs. Apollo, Eric and Janice.
