Matthew Stephen Allsman, age 41, died peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was born in Media, PA, and resided there for most of his life. Matt was a graduate of St. Mary Magdalen School and Cardinal O’Hara High School. Matt’s handsome dimpled smile and contagious laugh brought joy to so many. His friends and family will remember him always not for the challenges that he faced, but for the kind, funny, generous soul that he was. He is survived by his loving parents to whom he was devoted, James and Mary Frances Allsman; brothers, James; Francis and his husband, Michael B. Ferguson; Thomas and his wife, Julie; and David and his wife, Erin, and his nieces and nephews, Thomas, Desmond, Jack, Jane and Sabrina. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 13 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Rigby, Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 East 4th Street, Media, PA 19063, and Friday, January 14 from 9:30 am - 10:45 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 2400 N Providence Rd, Media, PA 19063. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Matt’s memory to the Media Little League, 1900 North Providence Road, Media, PA 19063. You were a good man Matt. I didn’t know you too long but the time we spent in harmony was a good time for all of us. We made a lot of good memories and some great friendships. We hadn’t talked in awhile and you just popped into my thoughts when I was reminiscing and I wanted to look you up again but found this. I hope you have finally found peace brother.

Matt was very friendly, respectful and funny and always with all smiles on that dimpled handsome face of his. I knew Matt as a young man, and he was always a good kid to be around. He hung out with us many a night around a bonfire. While I haven't seen him since he was a teenager, I won't ever forget his smile and good humor.
