Michael Camarota Obituary
Michael began his law enforcement career with the Sheriff's Department in Media. He became a police officer with Darby Township and later was employed as a police officer with the Aldan Police Department. He retired with the rank of sergeant with over 30 years of service. He was a member of FOP Lodge 27. He was an avid golfer and sports fan, a coach for his daughters' sports teams, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also served on the Civil Service Commission for Glenolden.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Sallie A. Camarota (nee Grenfell); his loving children, Sandra Camarota (Thomas Savage), Rose Mastroddi (James), Nancie Camarota (Bruce Carter); his grandchildren, Michael Angelo Mastroddi, Emerson Grace Mastroddi; one grandchild due in March; and his siblings Anne Dougherty (Richard), John Camarota (Connie), Carl Camarota (Karen) and Edward Camarota (Sandra).
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, December 29, 2015 7:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday 9:30-10:30 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the Hero Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box D, Media, PA 19063 would be appreciated.

Just learned today of Mike's passing. My condolences to his family. As an Aldan resident, I knew him as always with a smile and a kind word. A customer of mine, the late Billy Johnson of Yeadon was an academy classmate of Mike's and had great things to say about him.
