I became friends with Nancy as a colleague at Vertex. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work with someone as kind and generous as Nancy. She was always there to share a laugh and she brought brightness and energy to the projects we worked on together at Vertex. I will miss her and my thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Her beautiful Earthly light is shining elsewhere now. I was fortunate to have worked with Nancy at Vertex. She enriched not only my work life, but also left me feeling more positive after every encounter. During the project on which we worked together, I looked forward to meetings with her. She was an articulate, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable subject matter expert (to use the business term) who was always happy to share information that I, a technical writer without a deep tax background, could digest. We ended nearly every meeting with a bit of social talk and, invariably, laughter. She will be missed.

I wish there was something to say that would make it better but I know there isnt. Please take care of yourselves and each other. Most important right now.
-Big heart and big mind to you all.

I have been a friend of Nancy's since we first met in 7th grade, when I moved into GVSD. We were in all the same classes (GV was much smaller then), would study together, compete for higher test scores, often eat lunch together, trade Harlequin Romance novels, go to dances and do all the normal teenage things together. I am saddened by her loss, and my heart goes out to Patrick and Allysa, Bryan, Corey and the rest of the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
