Bob, I always loved seeing you at Don Guanella. I have fond memories of playing sports and attending holiday dances with the kids. You were the perfect person for the activities coordinator job. You will be missed!

Bob,
Words cannot describe your enthusiasm and your love for life. You dedicated your life to making others happy and sacrificed so much of your own personal time for the boys and staff of Don Guanella Village.
You have left me with so many fond memories over the past 20 years... I want to thank you for each and every one of them. Life will not be the same without you!!

Bob, I realize I just met you a few months ago during a missions4minors event at the DGS (which you were so kind to help organize for the boys) but I felt compelled to share this story about you with others. Last Thursday when I saw you for only the second time during the Christmas gift party at DGS, your passion for these kids was unbelievable and all of the kids felt that love. It was so apparent. As we organized the party for the boys Bob wanted us to be prepared to sing and sure enough we sang Christmas Carols to all the boys and then also the ladies with Bob leading the Chorus the entire time. It was truly a special moment for all and demonstrated his compassion for his mission. I could tell that he was loved by all there and it truly meant the world to see those kids smile with the gift of Christmas joy & hope. I really enjoyed my short time with you and you will be truly missed. God Bless!

Bob, Words will never express the gratitude for all you did to bring music to the boys of Don Guanella and to all of the students of Don Guanella School. In 2007, you worked on creating an after school music program for the boys. With Valero Oil Refinery's grant money, you funded a fabulous music room and hired me to provide music enrichment. Although you loved sports, it was obvious you also loved music and was deeply spiritual. You constantly attracted volunteer groups to spend quality time with the boys. Your upbeat personality, energy, hard work, honesty, enthusiasm, encouragement and support made a difference to so many lives, including my own. You loved your job so much, I saw you working on Fridays, your only day off numerous times...you wanted the best for the boys. If anyone deserves eternity in heaven, you do! I will miss you, dear friend. My heart goes out to all who loved you. My life was made better by just knowing you.

God Bless You, Robert. There will never be another staff as devoted as you. The boys and the community were better for knowing you and your kind heart. I will miss you as will the many whose lives you enriched.

Robert, you were always such a great neighbor! You took Billy to the Phillies game and ran him over to see Tina Turner (backstage) and said it was his idea!!! I remember you bringing the boys from Don Guanella home to Hoffman Road for barbeques!!!
To the Neeley family, my sincere condolences for your loss.
Rest in Peace Robert,

Robert's devotion to the young men at Don Guanella was apparent to all who watched him, but most importantly to the many young men whose lives he influenced. He provided a family environment and a level of respect and appreciation that will absolutely be missed for a long time. If Bob were nearby, he could be heard, because his energy for life filled the halls. We'll miss you, Bob. Cathy Fitzgerald

Robert, we met at age 2, my first friend. I remember us playing army men, shooting darts and shuffel board in our basements . We played baseball, wireball, stickball , football and basketball in front of our houses. We swam at Nassau Pool and sleded in the winters, we even when to our first concert with your brother Pat to see the Young Racals.
Robert, you spent your life helping the kids, and in my eyes you are a true Saint. Maybe that's why God took you soo early ,because he needed a man like you. Its so hard to say goodbye. I will always remember you , the great guy you are, and the great times we had thru out our lives.
As in the words from one of our favorite songs from the Marshall Tucker Band, "Ride in Peace my Friend, Ride in Peace, Until we meet again" I will Miss You My Friend !
Love You Robert !
