To the Schieifer Family I served with Bob in the 2nd Bn 111th Infantry he was in B Company in Chester I was in C Company in Media everybody called him POP because he was around longer that anyone else we would all listen to the war stories he told . The thing I liked about POP was he would always extend his hand in friendship and did not care as to who you were. The last time we were together was last November at a military function were he bought along his Brother we all sat at the table together and as always we laughed most of the evening. POP you have made me the man I am today. Rest in Pease 1SGT POP Schleifer.

Dear Earsie and family. I was so sorry to hear about Bob. Sorry I couldn't make it to the funeral. Always sick due to lyme. I had so much fun with you two from the time I was (?) very little until we stopped getting together. I mailed a card to you it came back. Will try again.
Love you all, Lorraine and Tom
