On behalf of the Birkofer Family, thank you for the wonderful things you shared about Dad (Bill, Mr.B). We are particularly moved by the kind sentiments shared by Dad’s students. To hear first hand the positive impacts Dad had on his students lives means a lot to us. He was a good, kind, loving man and all we can do is live by his example.

My deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Birkofer was Guidance Counselor at Chester High School Class of 1987. He was the BEST and always gave the best advice. He was very instrumental in helping me make my college choice. You will be missed. Rest in Eternal Peace Mr. Birkofer

I send my deepest sympathy to the wonderful Birkofer Family. Bill was friendly and quiet and loved being with his family. Visiting Bill and Mary was always a good time. Bill and Mary were great as a couple, they made people feel welcomed and they could turn some of their experiences into funny stories. They would both tell the story and it would become funnier. Bill loved his wife and it was a pleasure to be around him, his wife, and his family. He will always be in my prayers, for he was a great example of a Good Person.

Amazing how GOD unawareingly touches our spirit to reflect on those who were impactful in our lives. I had just mentioned Mr. B to a friend of mine this past weekend, saying how kind, devoted, influential and patient he was during my years of indecisiveness. Mr. B, you saw the strength and potential in me and the rest of us that you helped at Chester High, thank you for the talks and guidance because without you and a few other teachers that cared about us, I don't know what path I could have taken, you are still the best ever and will always be remembered with love from us all that you helped, thank you and rest easy until we meet again sir.

I remember a conversation with Mr Birkofer I had after I left high school.
I was not in a good spot, but he told me I could be better than where I was at.
He could have blew me off but he took the time to talk to me and 45 years later with a wife and grandchildren, I am in a much better place.
I wish I could go back in time for taking time to talk to me back then, it made an impression on me to get my life together.

My sincere condolences to the family. Mr. Birkofer was very instrumental to my life's work. He orchestrated the peer counseling program at Chester High School predisposing me to a life of serving children and families. Thank you for your compassion with us and may God bless your love ones.

Mr. Birkofer was a man that cared about his students. He was instrumental in me enlisting and retiring out of the Army. Men of his stature are hard to find. God bless his family and know that Christ cares.
