Anthony James Jones, 24 of Ashley, passed unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Delaware.
Born May 8, 2001, in Delaware, Ohio, the son of Shane and Paula (Miley) Jones. Anthony attended Buckeye Valley High School, while there he was active in football and basketball. He graduated in the spring of 2019.
Anthony worked in construction, but his passion was in the heating and cooling business, he was looking into joining the union.
Anthony was a fun and high energy individual, never being one to just sit around the house. He enjoyed the camaraderie with his friends, but he enjoyed most of all spending time with his family. Anthony was at every cookout, get together and family gathering.
Anthony enjoyed spending time with his grandfather watching basketball, especially during March Madness. He loved to play his guitars and was a self-proclaimed foodie. He enjoyed trying new things and being adventurous. He was quite the cook himself and would cook for his family.
Anthony will be remembered as the generous, loving, kind and sometimes ornery individual that he was.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Shane; mother Paula; sister Abby Jones; brothers Aaron, Eli and Liam Jones; paternal grandfather James Jones; maternal grandmother Julie Miley and friend Ronald Lambert; aunts Barbara Jones, Sarah (Adam Mickes) Jones, Mary (Derrick) Call; uncle Kevin (Jessica Hauersperger) Miley; along with numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandmother Donna Jones and grandfather Ronald Miley.
