Barbara Humphreys Obituary
The Celebration of the Life of Barbara Humphreys will take place at Asbury United Methodist Church, 55 W. Lincoln Ave., Delaware at 11:30 a.m. on June 28, 2025. Barbara died in hospice care on January 8, in Clearwater, Florida. Reverend Katherine Osier will preside as Barbara's family and friends will celebrate her impact in this world as a woman who lived large as she taught in the Delaware City School system and who used her leadership skills in retirement to be active in Delta Kappa Gamma and various writing groups. She loved her family and rarely knew a stranger as she was truly interested in people.

The Humphreys family, and Barbara Humphreys in particular, have been pillars of my hometown school system and the community generally. A devoted teacher, she was always there to help us with our challenges. Thank you, Barbara, for making our community better.
