SUNBURY — Beverly J. Ryder, 87 of Sunbury passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, September 24th, 2021 in the loving care of Country View of Sunbury. Born January 8, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Cary L. Bauchert and Roberta (Blake) Needles.
Beverly attended and later graduated from Johnstown High School in 1952. Beverly met and later married the love of her life Carlton Ryder, they married in 1955, and spent 40 years together before he passed in 1995.
Beverly was a homemaker, she stayed at home with the children, and raised them while Carlton worked. Beverly was a devout Christian woman, she attended Grace Brethren Church with her family regularly.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Carlton.
Beverly is survived by her sons Jon (Rhonda), Mark, and Michael Ryder; grandchildren Jonathan, Ashley, Jennifer, Loryn, and Casey; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Bauchert; sister-in-law Mary Ryder; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Beverly's proudest achievement was her family, and watching her children and grandchildren grow up to be the people they are today. Beverly enjoyed the holidays and bringing everyone together. She enjoyed flower gardening, canning, and sewing. Beverly was also a wonderful cook, her sons said she could make gravy out of dirt, and everyone loved her homemade egg noodles. Those close to Beverly will remember her as the kind, loving, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister that she was.
Family and friends may call from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at the DeVore-Snyder Chapel. Celebrant Tom Dea'theradge will officiate funeral services at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio. Burial will follow at Berkshire Cemetery in Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beverly's name may be directed towards the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave, FL 17, Chicago, Illinois, 60601.
