DARTHEL JONES Obituary
DELAWARE — Darthel Emmanuel "Pook" Jones, 25, of Delaware, died early Saturday morning, June 20, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on State Route 203 at Norton Road.
Born on May 7, 1990 in Delaware, he is the son of Ernest E. Jones and Rhonda D. (Stover) Mason of Delaware. After attending Delaware Hayes High School, he was an aspiring rap artist. Activities of interest include fishing, four wheeling and any other outside adventure. Never one to stay put, he was the constant entertainer. He could light up any room with his personality, unique laugh and engaging smile. Pook treasured time with his many friends and especially his family.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sons, Xavier, Jaden, Davion and Landon Jones; brothers, Brandon and Devan Mason of Delaware and Derek Johnson of Urbana; sisters, Tiera Bateman and Latisha (Nick) Bateman of Columbus; maternal grandparents, Larry (Debbie) Brewster and Sandra Smith; paternal grandparents, Bernice and Franklin Moore and Walter and Edna Mae Jones; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfathers, Steve Smith and Roy Patterson.
Friends may call 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, and where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to the Darthel Jones Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.

Darthel, You was a true brother and friend to me. we always got along.. you was the only person i have ever got along with from day one. You was one of my best and closest friends. My heart shattered sunday morning when I found out. You always knew how to cheer me up and make me laugh. there are so many memories I will cherish the rest of my life. I still cant believe your gone its so hard to not just want to find a way to call u and just talk like we used to. Pook I love you so much, I still can't believe you're gone. I go to sleep at night and hope when I awake it was just a horrible dream. I just wish I had one more chance to hug you, see you smile, hear you laugh, and tell you how much I love you and I don't want you to go.
