Compton Jr. of Galena; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Richard "Dick" Pancake of Galena; two sisters, Marie Clemens of Westerville and Evelyn Palmore of Dublin; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Edie was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel H. Compton Sr.; longtime companion, Albert Ray Schwartz; grandson, Trevor A. Jackson; sons-in-law, Jeff Sutherland and Steve Bender; brother, Charlie Jackman; and her beloved canine companion, Charley.
Private family services will be held and burial will be in Burnside Cemetery in Genoa Township next to her husband.
