Ridgeway — Edward Robert "Bob" Cain, Sr., of Ridgeway, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025. Bob was born in
Pennsylvania on September 11, 1938. He was the son of the late Mrs. Mildred Durnell Cain and Mr. Edward Miller Cain.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Elizabeth M. (Beth) Cain; sons, Edward Robert (Bob) Cain, Jr., (Heidi)
and Colonel USAF Ret. Daniel B. Cain; grandchildren, Jessica (Eric) McCullough and Dillon Cain; great-grandson, Arlo McCullough; sister, Karen (Richard - deceased) Carpenter; also survived by his wife's sons, William E. (Deborah Way) Allison and Shackelford M. Allison; grandchildren, Hazel Allison-Way and Shaq Stacy.
Bob received his BS and MBA from Ohio State University, was a US Army Veteran, Founder and President of TDI, a horse feed company (previously known as Tizwhiz Distributors). He was an avid fan of Standardbred Harness Racing and was involved as a licensed trainer, driver, breeder and owner. His favorite horse was Barnacle, a horse he bred, foaled, raised, raced, and retired.
Bob was a member of United States Trotting Association, Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association, Ohio Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association and Christian Harness Horsemen Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.
A memorial service in remembrance of Bob will be held at a later date.
