John Andrew "Jack" Balzer was a gift from God who was returned to Him on December 31, 2021. The beloved first child of Jeffrey and Amy (Law) Balzer, Jack was born on July 14, 1994. He graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 2013 and attended Ohio University.
Jack was a kind and gentle soul who will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, laughter, and big hugs, which brought joy to those around him. He enjoyed reading, music, animals – especially dogs, nature, physical fitness, outdoor activities, and time spent with family and friends. Jack's struggles did not define who he was or how he was loved by those who knew him well.
Named for his great uncle John Henry "Jack" Balzer Jr. and uncle John Andrew Law, Jack was predeceased by his grandfather Charles Balzer and uncle John Henry Balzer III. He is survived by and greatly missed by his parents, sister Julie Balzer, brother Nicholas Balzer, grandparents James and Sandra Law, grandmother Peggy Balzer, along with many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Jack's memory are encouraged to consider a donation to the House of Hope, 825 Dennison Ave, Columbus, OH 43215 and/or the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 OH-37, Delaware, OH 43015.
A gathering to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Friday, January 7, 2021 from 4–7 p.m. at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Home, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William St., Delaware Ohio 43015.
