JOHN DiPIETRO Obituary
DELAWARE — John "Robbie" DiPietro, 53, of Delaware, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at OSU Medical Center.
He was born on March 10, 1962 in Columbus to the late Fred DiPietro and Linda (Williams) DiPietro of Delaware. A graduate of Olentangy High School in 1980, he was a member of the basketball team.
As a youngster Robbie began rolling meat balls in his family's Columbus Pizza Villa Restaurant. As his forefather he was dedicated to the family business working in every capacity while it was located in Delaware. He enjoyed a passion for cooking and feeding his family and friends. All that he created was not to be forgotten.
Fun loving, he was generous, compassionate. Ornery to the core, he was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, camping, and attending flea markets. A member of St. Mary Church and Delaware Moose Lodge, he favored watching westerns, Turner Classics, and was a fan of OSU football. He will be remembered for his love of family, life, friendship, and food.
In addition to his mother Linda DiPietro he is survived by his brother, Tony (Verna) DiPietro and sister Missy (Robert) Thompson, both of Delaware; nephews, Zach Liggins, Dominic DiPietro; niece, Madeline Thompson, Aunt Molly DiPietro of Columbus; and a host of cousins to include: Richarda, Mark, Val DiPietro, Diana Lancaster, Renata, Lance, Richard Thompson and many friends.
He was also proceeded in death by his Aunts, LouAnn Turpin, Renetta Bernabei, Helen DiPetro, Margaret DiPetro; Uncles, Richard and Joe DiPietro.
A memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at the St. Mary Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware, with Rev. Michael Watson Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. After which friends and family are invited back to the Snyder-Rodman Community Room, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, for a time of food and fellowship.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center.
Memorial contributions can be made to Zusman Hospice, 1151 College Ave., Columbus, OH 43209.

I am so sorry to hear of Robbie's death. We were the greatest buds in high school, the three paisanos, Robbie, Mark Dinovo and me, Brandy Fracasso. I saw him a few years at the Moose in Delaware. We just laughed and laughed about the days we spent together in school. I cannot imagine your pain. I will always remember him smiling and laughing. Your family is in my prayers.

I'm sending my condolences to Verna and Tony Dipietro and family. Robbie was very special to me he was my teddy bear, he was kind sweet and loving always had a smile on his face when I saw him. We would tease each other about getting married to one another. I am so sorry for your loss he will be truly missed. There's a new beautiful angel in heaven and his name is Robbie, I love you my friend.
