Lucy DeLong Obituary
SUNBURY — Lucy Edith DeLong, age 73, of Sunbury, died peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born March 30, 1947 in Elliott County, Kentucky to the late Freddie and Gladys (Caldwell) Blevins.
She worked at Ranco for 23 years before retiring in 2012 from America Showa after 23 years of service. Attended Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Lucy enjoyed collecting angels and Santas, eating pizza with family and friends, yard sales, Black Friday shopping with her granddaughter and attending fairs and festivals with her late husband, John.
Also preceded in death by husband, John H. DeLong; sister, Alice Fay Blevins; brother, Bobby Blevins.
Survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Shaw of Marengo; grandchildren, Alexis, Zoie and Dalton; sisters, Zelphia (Lawrence) Stover of Sunbury, Shirley Morris of Delaware and Anita (Jim) Berry of Mt. Vernon; brothers, Freddie (Jeannie) Blevins of Sunbury, Wesley (Sandy) Blevins of Webbville, KY and Lesley (Joyce) Blevins of Ashley.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61 (at SR 3), Sunbury, where Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday. Pastor Bob Franklin officiating. Interment Sunbury Memorial Park.
