Herb, as each of you in his family, are friends of mine. Time and distance means we don't see each other often. Know that I value the times we shared and remember you all fondly. I have your family in my prayers, God bless you. Rob Kelly

I had not seen Herb in a few years but I remember the many funny stories he told and his contagious laugh. He will be missed by many and please find comfort that he is in a much better place. My deepest sympathy to his wife Joanne, his three children, Cindy, Wendy, and Buddy, his five grandchildren that he loved and adored and the many other family members and friends that he very much loved and drew strength from.

What a kind, witty, charming and funny man. I didn't know you long but I know there never was a bigger Orioles fan than Herb Groff. Will think of you each time I see that orange bird :) You will be missed, loved and remembered for always making others smile and laugh. Rest in peace and send comfort to miss Joanne and the whole family.

My heart is heavy with this sad news. I am so grateful to have known Herb. He was always laughing with me when I visited so many years ago. I always looked forward to seeing him when I came to Snow Hill. Such a funny, nice man. Peace, comfort and love to everyone in the Groff family.
