Keith Howard Lee, Sr.

Harbeson, DE-BMC , Keith Howard Lee Sr. USCG. Ret., age 85 of Harbeson, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, March 07, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center, in Milford, DE. He was born March 03, 1932 in Brownville, NY, to Howard Albert Lee and Sophia Angelina Villeneuve Lee.

Keith was retired from the US Coast Guard having served from Cape May throughout the North Eastern US. He was a former member of the Lewes Fire Department, having been the first active military serviceman to be admitted to the company. He was also a member, past chief and past president of the East Greenwich Fire Department in Clarksboro, New Jersey having joined in 1966. As a member of the Indian River Tribe 37, Order of Redmen, Lewes, DE, he had formerly held the office of Great Scheum of Delaware. He was also a member of the Lewes Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife Ethel (Ritter) Lee; two sons, Keith H. Lee, Jr. and wife Judith of Harbeson, DE and Kim M. Lee and wife Rosemary of Clarksboro, NJ; his daughter Yvonne (Lee) Peplowski; as sister Betty Sue Wasik of Bruce, Montana; eleven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. where viewing will begin at 10 AM. Burial with military honors will follow the services at the Ritter Family Cemetery.
