Melvin Turpin Obituary
MARION STATION-Melvin E. Turpin, 86, of Marion Station departed this life on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield. Born May 9, 1927, he was the son of the late Isaac and Flossie Turpin.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Dale Turpin (Sarah); two grandsons, Derrell (Shayla) and Derrick (Tiffany) Turpin; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nicey Turpin; one son, Melvin E. Turpin; and six siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Handy United Methodist Church in Marion Station, with a viewing two hours prior. The Rev. Ronald Bell will be the eulogist. There will also be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at the church. Interment will be held at Mount Peer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Marion Station.
Services are entrusted to Anthony E. Ward Jr. Funeral Home in Crisfield.
