RUTH H. LARUE Ruth H. (Theobald) LaRue, 96 of Delphos died at 12:05 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2025 at The Meadows of Delphos. She was born April 1, 1929 to the late Wilford and Dessie (Rayle) Theobald. On July 16, 1949, she married Lavon LaRue, who preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Kimmet and Donna (Jerry) Sampson both of Delphos; grandsons, Brian Kimmet (Wendy Winget) and Jason Kimmet both of Delphos; great-grandsons, Collin Kimmet and Reese Winget. She is also survived by a sister, Naomi Theobald of Paulding; and a brother, Paul Theobald of Dupont. She was preceded in death by sisters, Norma (Ned) Adams of Grover Hill and Chloris (Charles) Hammons of Middle Point; brothers, George (Barb) Theobald of Lima and John (Rita) Theobald of Spencerville; and a son-in-law, Dennis Kimmet of Delphos. Ruth was a Certified Dental Assistant for 48 years and an Orthodontic Lab Tech until she retired at the age of 80. Her hobbies were cake decorating and making Christmas candy for family and friends. She enjoyed reading and weekly bible studies. She was always willing to help others. Ruth was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Delphos. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos. Rev. Harry Tolhurst will be officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, and an hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
