Carol Ann Fisher, 82, of Wetmore, formerly of Brown City and Imlay City, died Friday 17, 2025. She was born December 17, 1942 in Sanilac Co. to parents Edward and Inez (Thomas) Jewell. Carol married Douglas H. Fisher on March 1, 1958 in Imlay City.
Carol was a heavy equipment operator for Hyponex Corporation for ten years. She followed her passion into the restaurant and bakery business, where she worked another twenty-three years. When Carol wasn't working, she did enjoy knitting, crochet, fishing, hunting and cooking or baking for loved ones. She was known as the "Scrubbie Lady" in Delta County. She loved making scrubbies and gave them out to friends and family. She also sold them at the Mid-Way General, Wetmore and Forest Glen General in Munising. She will be missed.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by her husband of 67 years, Doug; children, Marlene (Roger) Heeres, Teena (Tim) Sadler, Dwight Fisher, Cheryl Fisher; grandchildren, Jamie(Kris) Bain, Jason (Jennifer) Heeres, Gloria (Matt) Steele, Dillon (Geena) Rowley, Jayde Holbert, Charlie Holbert, Stephanie Kibbel; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas, Zachary, Madeline, Antonio, Ian, Shelby, Myles, Timmie, Rory, Tegan, Amelia, Lily Carol, Sylvia and Seth; siblings-in-law, William Fisher, Jeannette Thompson, JonEllen Hitchcock and Marilyn Hellebuyck. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edward, Doris; grandson, Darrell; aforementioned parents, father and mother in-law, Harold and Irene; as well as siblings-in-law, Charles, Robert and Rex.
Carol's services were held all in one day, Wednesday October 22, 2025, visitation was 12 to 1 p.m. with her funeral at 1 p.m. all at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Burial followed at Dawn Memorial Cemetery, Lapeer.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions made to the Tri County Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, N384 Federal Forest Highway 13, Wetmore 49895. Condolences and memories may be left at MuirBrothersLapeer.com.
