Kenneth Wilcox Obituary

Kenneth Lester Wilcox passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at his home in Delta, Colorado. He was 57 years old.
Celebration of Life services will be held on 11:00 am, Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (145 W 5th St, Delta, CO). Followed by lunch at St. Luke's.
Ken was born on June 29, 1968, in Denver, Colorado, to Elizabeth Ann McManaman and Robert Lester Wilcox. He grew up in Hotchkiss and Fort Collins, Colorado, and obtained his GED.
Ken made his way to Delta County, making Delta, Colorado, his home. He has been a resident of the Western Slope off and on for 35+ years. He spent his life exploring many jobs, including Wendy's, Colorado State University Veterinary Hospital, Walmart Distribution Center, and as a fence builder all over the Western Slope.
When not working, Ken enjoyed: Fishing, hunting, music, reading fantasy novels, playing Dungeons & Dragons, gathering countless collections, and spending time with family. Ken was good with anything where he could use his hands.
Ken gave of his time by volunteering at various organizations in the places he lived. These organizations included the Mexican American Development Association of Montrose, Cheyenne Habilitation and
Therapeutic Center serving developmentally disabled Adults and the Feed My Sheep Ministry of the Church of the Nazarene of Delta. Ken was baptised on April 14, 2024, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Delta.
Ken is survived by his two step-children, Catalina and Jack; his Step-mother, Elizabeth Warner Wilcox of
Delta; his sisters and brothers: Dylah Wallenius (Brian) of Alexandria, VA, Glenn W. Wilcox (Geronimo) of Albuquerque, NM, Shaman Hughes of Cedaredge, Emily Wilcox of Delta, Lucy Townsend (Bill) of Montrose, and Amie McManaman of Ft. Collins; 5 step-grandchildren, 4 nieces, and 5 nephews
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and 3 aunts and 3 uncles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to: Feed My Sheep Food Pantry: Gunnison Valley, Church of the Nazarene, 1721 H Road, Delta, CO 81416.
